I Was Contorting ๐ชข
⚡ Don’t Avoid Responsibility
One Honest Step at a Time ๐งผ
๐ต๐ท
Most of us didn’t have models. We were taught to avoid — emotions, bills, hard talks, truth. These patterns aren’t personal. They’re cultural, familiares, and often passed down like heirlooms.
I used to think helping meant fixing people. Staying on the phone too long. Taking on guilt that wasn’t mine. Letting people vent trash ๐️ into my spirit. I wasn’t connecting — I was contorting.
Underneath it all, I just wanted love. I wanted to be picked. So I became what they needed, instead of showing up as me.
But one day, I stopped. I heard my body say, “ya basta.”
๐ฅ The Quiet Realization
I wasn’t helping. I was hustling for belonging. That’s not wellness — that’s survival.
And the truth? The people I kept trying to impress weren’t even going anywhere. They were emotionally unavailable — like I had learned to be too.
If they misunderstand you — let them. If they expect a version of you that no longer exists — let them. You’re done performing. You're allowed to just be.
๐ฟ The Real Shifts
- ๐ฌ️ Relief: I don’t need to be perfect to belong.
- ๐ช Recognition: That’s me. I do that.
- ๐งฌ Context: This is generational, not just personal.
- ๐ธ Permission: I can start small. I don’t have to leap.
- ๐ชด Hope: This is about wellness, not fixing.
- ⚡ Truth: Avoidance isn’t peace. It’s disconnection.
- ☀️ Power: I can choose one small action — today.
This is the shift. From bypassing to noticing. From survival to something more honest. ๐ฅฃ
๐ Today, You Can:
- ๐ง Name the pattern, out loud.
- ๐ฌ Open the bill or text back — with truth.
- ๐ซถ๐ฝ Say: “This stops with me.”
- ๐ Journal one thing you're done avoiding.
It’s not too late. You’re not too behind. You’re already shifting.
Because Your Spirit Didn’t Come Here to Settle.
Someone is reading this blog and saying: “I won’t avoid it today.”
That’s you. That’s movement.
